Wade Trips

Wade trips offer the most intimate experience while fishing for trout. All of our wade trips are local and offer some of the finest fishing in Western North Carolina. In Burnsville we will be wading some of the cleanest water as well as some of the coldest water in the Southeast. Be ready to cast dry flies, nymphs, and many other patterns for wild trout, rainbow trout, brook trout as well as trophy brown trout.

All of our waded trout fishing trips in Burnsville, NC are equipped with a 4 or 5 wt. fly rod setup and exceptional gear to help our clients be the most productive on their fishing excursion. While Burnsville Anglers fishes year-round, the best time of years to wade the rivers for trout are late February through late November.

Come when the leaves change! The leaves typically change in Burnsville during the last week in October. During this week the fishing is incredible with warmer weather still being present. We fish a variety of different streams, creeks, and rivers - if you have a preference for wild trout over other species of trout please let your guide know and we will accommodate your request.

South Toe River

One of the coldest rivers in WNC even in late summer! Come fish on the South Toe for brown trout, rainbow trout, and brook trout! The South Toe offers fun for everyone, from the veteran anglers to the family excursion. The river is full of all different species of trout, and is a fun backwoods stream in Burnsville, North Carolina.

North Toe River

The North Toe River can be valued as Western North Carolina's hidden rivers. With the river being in Burnsville's backyard, it stems all the way from downtown Spruce Pine, where the Delayed Harvest section begins all the way through Bakersville, Green Mountain and flowing down into Tennessee where it then turns into the Nolichucky River.

Cancellations made two weeks (14 days) prior to a scheduled trip will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 7 days prior to the scheduled date will forfeit 50% of the trip's booked cost. Cancellations within 48 hrs of the trip requires payment in full.
